Danson joined our staff in May 2018 to help with Learn & Serve during the summer. Born and raised in nearby Anniston, Ala., Danson grew up in Grace Episcopal Church, and around the age of 12 his family started attending Anniston First United Methodist Church. At the Methodist church, Danson started to truly understand the message of servanthood that Christ conveyed. In 2016, Danson had the opportunity to go to Haiti on a short-term mission trip, lighting a fire inside of him which consumed his life for the next 3 months while he taught math at a local school there. The Lord led Danson to SIFAT through a friend that had come as a camper to Learn & Serve about 10 years ago.
Danson has settled in here at SIFAT, moving into the Bottle House by Mad Indian Creek. Some might know it as the old homestead that Diana Fletcher built in the mid 1980s.
Danson is raising his own salary support. Click below to support him. You will be redirected to our PayPal page, which uses SIFAT’s legal name Southern Institute for Appropriate Technology.
