Co-Founders of SIFAT

Since Ken and Sarah Corson started their life together in 1958, they have served in seven Latin American countries and three states. In these places, they tried to understand the roots of poverty and how to empower the poor to take control of their own lives. In May of 1979, SIFAT was formed as a training center in Ken and Sarah’s hometown of Wedowee, AL. Church and Community leaders from 87 countries have studied at SIFAT in the last 33 years since it began. Though now retired, Ken and Sarah continue to speak, teach, and write, and remain active globally in the work of SIFAT, and locally in their community, and in their backyard garden.
