Project Funded!Project: To enable 250 future Christian missionaries with the an in-depth understanding of sustainable practices for community development with a training of a few income generating skills to help them be able to pay for their ministry/sustenance. Summary: This Extension Practicum II is envisioned to equip the evangelists and missionaries with best practices in community development — practices that are integrated, viable and sustainable. The participants are from Christian missions and institutions, where they are either equipping themselves for mission work or are already in the mission field. The project will be implemented in association with other Christian institutions, which are based in South India. The training will cover: 1. In-depth knowledge on implementing community development. They will also be trained with formation on microcredit groups for the development of the poor. 2. Some simple income generating skills will be taught, such as making detergent powder, multi-purpose pain balm, liquid disinfectant, imitation jewelry and other skills according to the need of the participants. *Daniel is a pseudonym for our SIFAT graduate who works in India and other Asian countries.
