Purpose Statement
SIFAT’s Basic Needs Institute works with marginalized communities to develop local capacities to meet their own basic human needs with dignity so that community members may be empowered to fulfill their potential.
Process
We believe that in the process of working together for common goals, the community itself is transformed. SIFAT’s role is that of facilitator, fostering sustainability by investing in training local community leaders. We network with individuals, organizations, and training institutions to partner with local community initiatives to promote transformational development.
