Learn & Serve Staff
There are multiple ways to get involved with Learn & Serve! Whether it be through an internship during the fall and spring, on weekends volunteering at a retreat, or through our summer staff, we would love to invite you to be a part of Learn & Serve! Check out all of the different staff and volunteer opportunities below.
Learn & Serve Internships
SIFAT often needs interns for our campus programming. Interns are college graduates looking to do a gap year at a nonprofit organization that is active around the world. Your internship will incorporate all three of our areas of expertise: Training, Missions & our Campus. You will physically reside on the gorgeous 176-acre campus, learning and participating in all that goes on here (our farm to table programs, our appropriate technology training, our global village and slum experiences). You will experience training in global hunger, malnutrition, contaminated water and more. You will learn what it means to be a missionary in a developing world and you will participate in missions as well. There is no other program like it. Having a love for the outdoors is not a requirement, but is strongly recommended. We are looking for teachable, humble, missions loving college graduates. Your housing will be provided.
Learn & Serve (Campus Programs) Seasonal Internship
Learn & Serve is constantly taking applications for our seasonal internship program. This program lasts three months in the season of your choosing: winter, spring, summer or fall. During your time here, you will learn spiritual disciplines, gain ministry experience, be trained in appropriate technology, sharpen your work ethic and inspire those around you to make a change for the better! This is a great way to get involved and dip your toes into all we have to offer! Click here to apply!
Learn & Serve (Campus Programs) 9-month Internship
We are revamping our nine-month internship. Beginning in August 2022, we will welcome a new cohort of four college students for our August to May internship program. This program is made up of six modules: starting with learning our identity in Christ, then moving to learning what SIFAT is, talking about poverty, stewarding our earth, community development and ending with an international mission trip. We are excited about what is to come and are now taking applicants for 2022-2023. If you are interested in missions, ministry or just learning more about your Christian walk, apply now!
Intern Life Coordinator
The Intern Life Coordinator (ILC) will be responsible alongside the Campus Director for overseeing the efficiency and quality of the Learn & Serve Internship Program. The ILC will do this by learning and living alongside the campus interns, as they work to build strong relationships within the team. The leader will need to be confident in their christian walk, comfortable with public speaking, prepared to cultivate spiritual formation, and have experience with conflict resolution. Our internship program is community and discipleship oriented, therefore leaders will need to promote creative ways to build relationships. The Intern Life Coordinator will need to have teachable, servant leadership qualities. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or apply now!
